The Darwin Fly Rodders holds two premier fishing events annually.
The Territory Freshwater Flyfishing Open which is generally held on the first weekend in May (May Day long weekend) using the iconic Corroboree Billabong which has over 50 kilometres of navigable waters.
The Saltwater Challenge is is held in the fish rich waters of Bynoe Harbour during September/October of each year weather and tide dependent.
Additionally, for Members Only, the DFR holds the "Top Ten", which is designed to test the skills of members of Darwin Flyrodders. This runs for the entire calendar year, with all submitted scores tallied by the Weigh Master and presented at the club General Meetings.
REFUND POLICY for the Territory Fresh Water Flyfishing Open and Saltwater Challenge
Updated May 2022:
The angler withdrawing is entitled to a refund of fees paid, less any reasonable expenses incurred by Darwin Flyrodders and less a $20 administration fee. A substitute angler is to pay the entry fee applicable at the time of his/her application.
